This is a brilliantly simple but powerful little story about the importance of collaboration and creative thinking. Thank you for sharing it. I think students, teachers, and school systems could all learn from this story.
As teachers, we can accomplish much and better prepare ourselves for students if we work together sharing and swapping effective teaching tools and ideas. PLC must have a direct purpose, and the school system should give PLCs tools and "parts" needed to accomplish that purpose; however, teachers also need to be given the freedom to think outside the box. We need to be trusted with what we're given and allowed time to construct.
